PRESS RELEASE Supervisor Doug Chaffee Announces Applications Are Open for the Second Annual Fourth District Kindness Awards
Santa Ana, CA - Today, Supervisor Doug Chaffee announced he is currently accepting nominations for the Second Annual Orange County Fourth District Kindness Awards. The Fourth District Kindness Awards will honor individuals who have displayed exceptional kindness or community service in the Fourth Supervisorial District Cities on November 13, 2020, which is observed internationally as World Kindness Day.
Kindness is often defined as doing something to help another person without the expectation of receiving anything in return.
If you know anyone that works, lives, serves, and/or volunteers in the cities of Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Anaheim, or Buena Park who that have displayed exceptional kindness or community service, please nominate them for the award. Please note elected officials will not be eligible to be nominated for the Fourth District Kindness Award. Nominations will be accepted until September 30, 2020.
Confirm the Address
Before sending in the nomination, please confirm that the nominee qualifies for the Fourth District Kindness Award by visiting the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ website and entering the address of where the nominee works, lives, serves, and/or volunteers.
If the address is within the Fourth District, you will see “4th Supervisorial District -> Doug Chaffee” listed under the right-hand “Elected Officials” column. Please see the example below.
How to Nominate
Fill out the nomination application below, save the application as a PDF, and email it to: District4.KindnessAwards@ocgov.com. Printed applications may also be mailed to the Office of Supervisor Doug Chaffee at 333 W. Santa Ana Blvd., Santa Ana, CA 92701.
Orange County Supervisor Doug Chaffee represents the Fourth District, which includes the cities of Fullerton, La Habra, Brea, Placentia, and portions of Anaheim and Buena Park. In his first term, Supervisor Chaffee has combatted homelessness by supporting the creation of and allocating funding to the Buena Park and Placentia Navigation Centers and has spurred economic development by providing $14.5 million in grants to small business and nonprofits in the Fourth District.
